Ana is an internationally-recognized pioneer in yoga & emotional healing, a Medicine Woman, the creatrix of Forrest Yoga® and author of the highly-acclaimed book, Fierce Medicine: Breakthrough Practices to Heal the Body and Ignite the Spirit. Ana teaches yoga from an intuitive and highly-developed understanding of the human body and psyche.

Native American Medicine and the clinical application of healing modalities —including homeopathic and naturopathic remedies, anatomy, reflexology, pressure point therapy, craniosacral therapies, Shiatsu, chiropractic, polarity and hands on healing— always inform her work. Ana’s Spirit pledge is to do her part in ‘Mending (Healing) the Hoop of the People’. This is her life’s work. Each year she gives thousands of people the tools to help them design a life that they are proud of.

When she isn’t teaching, Ana loves to ride her motorcycle into the wilderness!

Building the Warrior Heart

This helps your heart and Spirit be more resilient, flexible and adept at surfng emotional waves. Heal your Back

Tired of back pain? In this session, Ana will teach you how to use pranayama and asana to heal back pain. Learn how to bring fresh oxygen, blood, and nerve energy into your painful areas, while you release toxins and tensions that may have accumulated.

You will also lean how to access and relax hardened muscles that have been used to stabilize any injury. With Ana’s guidance you can learn how to use Forrest Yoga to strengthen the muscles of the back and its supporting areas, including the abdomen and legs. Work, sweat and attain freedom from back pain.

Inversions and Arm Balances

Inversions and arm balancing poses are challenging and exciting. They rejuvenate the mind and body. They increase circulation of blood, oxygen, and energy, stimulating the endocrine and immune systems.

Both arm balancing poses and inversions develop mental and physical strength, balance and flexibility. In this session, learn the essential elements of these powerful poses. Learn the skills of balance and then have fun applying them to your life.

LEVEL: INT/ADV NOTE: This session is not appropriate for pregnant woman or those with detached retinas, or wrist or arm injuries.
